blue_calendarMany medical problems and minor illnesses are effectively dealt with by our practice nurses, ie. colds, flu, coughs, cystitis, diarrhoea and vomitting (although we ask you ring and do not come into the surgery), dizziness, ear ache, emergency contraception, fevers, fungal infections, head lice, missed pills, mouth problems, nappy rash, nose bleeds, rashes, the morning after pill, thread worm, warts and verrucaes and sore throats.  In order to book the most appropriate appointment for you, with either the doctor or nurse, it is helpful if you tell the receptionist what your problem is.

Appointments can be booked over the telephone or on line.  Please speak with one of our receptionists who will be happy to issue you with on line appointment booking details.

Same day appointments are offered Monday - Friday, please call as soon as possible after 8.00am for a same day appointment. 

Please remember to cancel appointments made in advance and subsequently not needed.

Appointment Times

Morning appointments with a doctor are available Monday to Friday from 8:20am to 12:20pm and afternoon appointments are generally available from 3:20pm to 5:00pm, but vary slightly depending on which doctor is on duty.

Nurse appointments are offered from 08:30am until 12:30pm and 2:30pm until 5:15pm Monday to Thursday and 2:00pm until 4:45pm on a Friday.

Our health care assistant is available from 08:20am until 12:40pm every weekday morning apart from Mondays and Fridays when her appointments are available from 07:20am.

Evening and Weekend Appointments now available

Patients of our practice are now able to book routine appointments to be seen by doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants in the evenings and at weekends in Extended Access - a new service provided by West Cambs Federation. 

 This service is available to all patients in this area seven days a week in sessions at four clinics:

 Acorn Surgery, Oak Drive, Huntingdon.

 Buckden Surgery, Mayfield. Buckden.

 Cornerstone Surgery, Elwyn Road, March.

 Cromwell Place Surgery, Cromwell Place, St. Ives.

You can make an appointment at any of the sites - not just the one nearest to your home.
